A letter I'll never post

This letter is for someone who'll never know it is her. This letter is for everything left unsaid and needed to be said even if not heard. Someday it'll all make sense, someday.
Good evening,
I'm writing this letter to you because this face behind this paper is one you despise. It's not hate, it's just the circumstances we met under, with people around us, we had opinions formed for no right reason. And here we are, 4 years later. You, the diva you were meant to be, me, the simpleton I always loved being. You wouldn't remember me, not for the right reasons at least. But I write this letter because we didn't have the right start, we didn't have anything and an incomplete story is far worse than one with a sad end because of probabilities and possibilities. Don't get me wrong, this is not romantic love, obsession or a desperate attempt at something even history doesn't recall. I never wanted to be anything more than a friend, never will either. With you, it just was having you, knowing you're okay is what mattere...s. Someday hopefully you'll see this, recognize it is for you, and see why something's in life shouldn't be left incomplete. I'm still waiting for the day destiny desired to intertwine our paths and we meet at a junction. A junction neither mine, nor yours, with people not mine, nor yours at a place far off from both of our destination's, yet the right place and the right time.

Destiny?

This post has been deleted and re-written enough times after which it has been lying in the 'draft' section for well over a year now. About time I made a final few changes to it and put it up for the cyber space to see.

It wasn't enough. they said they wanted the truth but they forgot that sometimes you have to lie because the truth is not enough. Sometimes, you have to do things you do not want to because doing what you want is not enough, you have to go out of your way and change yourself completely just to get that one person's love because you know you will never be enough, You can't help feling what you do. You did not choose this but you can't escape it either. You know why? This is because you've been hurt so many times that now you wish to stay hurt in hopes of getting comfortble someday. You learn that pain may not be temporary, but you are. You learn that after a night of amazing enjoyment and having no worries you get pushed down deep into your shell. You realize that what you thought was yours is what is killing you. Slowly. Painfully. Like a dagger being inserted into your heart by your best friend. I'm sure that is what you were expecting to read. It's true but is it the entire truth? I say otherwise.

We as people have been conditioned subconsciously over decades and centuries that there will be a happy ending, that the guy up there popularly known as 'God' will make sure everything will be alright and everything that happens, happens for a reason. The truth is, it doesn't. You want to know why you failed? You didn't study. Why did you get dumped? Maybe because you or the other person messed up. Why the friend of decades left/betrayed you? You weren't enough. happy endings are a myth created to let us live in the solace that things have to be okay. Destiny was an idea implanted into our minds well before we could speak. "Destiny got you to us. You'll make us proud someday". "You're destiny's child". "Destiny made you ahead of those with you. Cherish the gift". Bullshit. Destiny is not a delivery man to show up at your door in 30 minutes. Destiny if real, if what takes you to a random door at 3 in the morning when you're intoxicated out of your senses. Destiny is what makes you call a number you thought you never would, speak to a person you probably just saw and didn't even notice. Destiny is the brainchild that takes you where you should be, by taking you one step ahead. Destiny is not the destination, it's the final step. It is a concept created by those who need to believe in a force higher than us to be able to go on.

Destiny much like love and 'forever' is a simple idea we are infatuated with.
